Going after work to pick up a GMG Jim bowie! Going to get a good smoke or 2 in before smoking the turkey for Thanksgiving. Time to upgrade my electric Bradley smoker.

The one I got from him is an Inkbird and it has worked great so far for me.

Seems pretty interesting to me. :)

I liked the offroad wheels, I'm sure every smoker vet they've had around it has called those wheels out. :)

For the price I would totally do it. The 4xs model (older one) and the one I sent to @JeffRoyJenkins are solid and work great for the price point. A multi probe setup with Bluetooth or wifi and an app is a good deal. If you want it, I'd say buy with confidence.

^ what @Chrisf06 said. I can't find the post in /r/smoking. I follow that subreddit and didn't see it in my browsing earlier today and I just searched for it. $58 on Amazon right now.

Not sure I'd ever need 6 but 2 or 3 would be nice and the rest would be just spare probes

I know we are mostly a bunch of briquette, lump charcoal, and pellet sluts in here, but a new house I just bought has natural gas throughout the house for heating and cooking. Contemplating buying a 2-3 Gas burner Webber for quick cooks after work or in a crunch.

In lieu of using a tank, I want to run a direct line to the grill. Is there a noticeable difference in heat, taste, and feasibility between LP and NG?

Running a gas grill is a great way to go, especially if you can get it hooked up to your natural gas line. No difference between LPG and NG for taste, but the grill has to be made for it.

My gas grill is a Weber Genesis. I'd highly recommend it to you. Again, make sure you get one made for natural gas, not LPG.

what @Kremtok said above. If the grill isn't made for it, there are conversion kits. But Weber Genesis line is a great place to look. I wanna run a line so I can hardpipe my grill. But then again I haven't used the Propane grill in a loooong time. might need to fix that.

I have an inkbird, Not that model. It works as intended with no issues. I think I’ve only charged it one time since I’ve had it, and have done several cooks using it.

    That deal looks pretty good.

Also, @Kremtok ... I finished off the Salmon last night :(. I had been saving the last ones for a bit now.

Nothing too fancy. Pan seared with S&P and cooked. Made a Lemon Dill cream sauce for it. Was dayum good and the wife even ate some. She's not a big salmon eater. Now I'mma need to order more! Thank you again for the salmon!:fistbump:

My plan for now....spatchcock it, brine, smoke it. Haven't done spatchcock before.

I will be traveling for the holiday but I got a free turkey from work that will need to be put to use. I’m thinking a couple weeks after thanksgiving I’ll smoke mine as I’ve never smoked one before. I’m thinking about spatchcocking mine as well. Still not sure about seasoning yet.
