Toyota as I understand it is huge on the 5S/six sigma philosophy, which is QC that took steroids and went on a rager. One of my current bosses used to work for an Australian factory that was trying to win a Toyota contract. The rule was that if you contract for Toyota, you have to adopt full 5S-6σ just like they do. When this factory requested an audit, a toyota engineer flew in to conduct a full factory inspection. Apparently he made it as far as the lobby. As the factory director came out to meet him, the engineer nodded towards the front desk's little trash can, pointed out that it was more than 10cm away from the wall, and didn't have floor tape marking where its supposed to go. Then he said "you're not ready for this audit", turned around, and caught the next flight back to Japan.

Those guys are nuts. But that's how you get the reputation for consistent reliability I guess.

Nah, I'll go with Wikileaks this time, I hear they have the inside to the whole oil conspiracy theory with genuine oem facts and data.

    Ought to be interesting

    True story:

I’ve worked many times at the Toyota wheel plant outside Vancouver BC (CAPTIN) where they makes aluminum wheels for Toyota’s as well as contract forgings for other brands.

We were installing a new robotic painting line for the plant under the watchful eye of a group from Toyota headquarters in Japan.

Our Forman on the job’s name was Alan, but to everyone on the crew he was known as “Fucko” because he was a terrible leader, and a disorganized worker. Halfway through the project the Toyota reps approached our sub-Forman and pointed at Fucko and said in broken English: “he go home now and not come back. He no good for project. We do not approve”.

So Fucko got banned from the site and we carried on, much happier without him. Their quality control included people’s attitude.

Still have to change your coolant, we are not all that different.

Ps. Me and my Tacoma are known to drive to tesla charging stations, just to block the parking/charging stall.

I stuck my scope probe in the oil filler and the dipstick hole. The truck seemed to like it.

It’s cause all the excessive idling. They should have changed the oil sooner.

All kidding aside, I find the videos amusing, but it’s hard to believe these morons are living so large on the earth, that they are ruining what seem to be nice, running, cars for their idiotic YouTube channel. When the plague comes to reset civilization, I kinda hope they suffer first.

When you think of the value an operational vehicle represents to so many people who would like to have that, but maybe can’t afford it, then you see these goobers fucking up running cars. Sometimes it gives me pause, but on with the show!
