Any body here switch to winter tires for the season? I never have but decided to for the next few years . Going with General Grabber Arctic. Kinda sick of white knuckle drives and am essential personnel as I work as a PA.

I used to do that, but just had wheels for the rear. Now, I bought a full set of dealer pulloffs and will use them for offroad/snow tires when I wear out my original tires. Torn between getting aggressive offroad tires and winter tires. Since I drive so little, think I can stick with low rolling resistant A/S tires for gas mileage with one set and a good offroad tire that isn't too gnarly for another set.

I don’t see a lot of it with trucks. However they do switch to a slightly more aggressive tire when Origionals run out. I think there are one or two trucks that do actual tire change and only one that I have seen that swap rims and tires.
Mmmmmm that reminds me I haven’t seen them in the shop yet..

    I still run AT20’s

I do but for a more aggressive summer tire. I have a set of all season tires for the winter and a set of performance summer tires on custom rims for the summer. Here in Maryland we typically only get from 3 to 25 days a year where I would need a set of dedicated winter tires. My son now has a 4WD F150 so I am thinking of getting a set of all season performance tire on the custom rims next November.

I bought a set of steel wheels for SWMBO's AWD Rav4 and had a set of snow tires put on them. Probably not really necessary, but she feels more comfortable with them.

You are correct!! The thread has gotten quiet.

Finally decided to wash and wax my 2019 TRD OFFROAD ACCESS Cab over the past few days. Drove it to town this morning and sure enough it drizzled and the truck is now dirty. That's fine ….. at least it has a coat of wax on it for the winter.

Someone start posting ….. I need something to read while drinking the 5:00 AM coffee.

Served??? I make my own coffee. And thank you for your service, sir. I'm ex Navy. Did a cruise to Vietnam in 1969 and loaded bombs on jets 10-11 hours a night. Aged from 18 to 25 in short order. Probably why I'm drinking coffee at 5:00 AM!

Back in '71, there abouts, we were worried about the draft. Not compelled to enlist, don't know why, maybe the Viet Nam war. Many of my tiny HS class went to college or community college. Our dads served, so maybe there was no push from them for us to join up.
Two uncles on moms side and my dad were in WW II.
