ahh ok. I have JBA uca's and these tires won't fit using oem wheels so keep that in mind when getting the total chaos uca's just in case it bites you. i'm looking into whether or not spacers would solve the trick

Their rear HC bumper looks nice but doesn't look much different than anything available in the US. I'd guess the shipping from BC would be a lot.

Well they're the same as the spare tire which is very similar to the stock wheels.

I joined the club! 255/85/16 Discoverer S/T maxx on stock wheels and suspension.

Very rarely a bit of rub on the rear portion of the front fender liner. Only when partially turned and compressed - at the point that the outermost lugs are closest to the bottom edge of the liner. I suspect just a touch more caster will fix the issue when I get a new alignment.

    Other thoughts so far:
    Smooth and fairly quiet.
They are definitely heavy - noticeable on acceleration and deceleration.
If you have a heavy foot they may suck some gas. However, two full tanks now and after correction for the larger diameter, I've averaged 21 mpg with a light foot.
Haven't tried to fit the spare yet - will move the hanger back if needed

Going to the Ouachita National Forest next week for some time on the forest roads with the kids - excited to try them out!

    looks excellent
I’m really considering the same exact tires. Are yours tracking straight? It’s the one thing that holds me back from getting them, as I seam to read they “pull right” so often from many people running these st max tires.

How likely do you think Discount Tire, Les Schwab or another tire shop would dismount my current wheel and then mount a 255/85/16 on one of my stock rims and mount it back on truck to see if it clears the JBA uca's?

The simple answer is that they do pull to the right. BUT, it is quite minimal - not really noticeable below 50 mph and VERY slight on the highway. At 60 mph on a straight section of highway without much crown, it takes maybe 200-300 feet to pull to the edge of the lane without holding the wheel. Keep in mind that I haven't had an alignment since they were put on and I suspect this slight pull can be corrected.

Just starting out, give me time
Got the s/t maxx on yesterday so far I love them. Definitely feels different than stock tires. It should have come like this from factory in my opinion. The only drawback so far is breaking distance is longer. Ride is a bit harsher now but I'm hoping lower tire pressure will fix that. Can't wait for the snow now.

Speaking of the Ouachitas, if you find yourself on Hwy 7 ... between Hot Springs Village and Jesseville ...

Best hamburgers around at the Shack in Jesseville, across from the high school

Best “home cookin” at Home Plate restaurant

The kids will love Miller’s Rock Shop

The Citgo station has non ethanol gas

    a bit further north ...

Stop at the Hollis Store in Hollis, you can show the kids what an old country store is. And granny will fix you a sandwich if you’re hungry

Just south of Hollis, watch for the Little Bear Creek Lake, the hill down to the lake will be a good test of your new tires. The Fish & Game uses a bulldozer to pull their electro shock boat back up the hill.

Wave if you see a quicksand access cab, that’s me ;)

Just relocated the spare - really easy, just need a ratcheting 12mm wrench, a drill, and a step bit. Link below. H part is getting the nuts out. No reason not to do it, and easier than banging on the front guides with a hammer and wondering if you're too close to the exhaust......
A tip, take the two rear bolts out first so that the hoist bracket can hang as you remove the two front bolts. If the hoist bracket is held tight against the crossmember by the rear bolts, the front bolts will be forced up and against the rib of the bed.
