    okay, new taco owner here. I've never had a car I felt could really handle off roading, but I think my '19 TRD OR can. My question is how much protection do I actually need. I mostly got it for making it up snowy mountains for snowboarding and carrying summer toys around (kayaks, paddle boards, hopefully some mountain bikes). Past that I'd be taking it out every once in a while to actually get it off a gravel path, and even then I don't think I've got the guts quite yet to really go hard core off road. Do y'all think I'd need rock sliders for any of that or just some heavy duty nerf bars?

    Suggestions on either option are welcome!

    are the 2nd Gen boards slippery when wet? no, not the Bon Jovi song, lol. just wondered with them being plastic covered if they were slippery?

    Anybody have the fin tail style running boards? I’m thinking about getting some. also would short bed rails fit a long bed rails? I’ve found out yes and no :facepalm:

    I have those exact running boards and they fit perfect. I did have to buy the screws that go under the cab because the bolts included were 10mm instead of 8mm. someone else on here said they got these and their hardware was correct, so maybe wait & see.
