    Long time ago I had a Subaru and it got sideswiped one night, took out the entire driver's side as we only had on-street parking at the place I lived in back then. It was a little slick, lived on a hill, and someone came around the corner and plowed right into me.
    Found it the next morning. I was SO pissed off. The Subie was the first vehicle that I bought for myself and it was only about 3 months old at the time. Called the cops, they came and took some pictures and started a report. I walked around the neighborhood every day for weeks hoping to find a car with damage to the front passenger side. Where I lived was a little out of the way and didn't get a lot of traffic so it had to have been someone who lived in the area or was visiting someone in the area. Never did find anyone. Repair bills were over $8k and I'm pretty sure the insurance was that close to totalling it.
    Kinda explains why I'm super protective of my vehicles now...
