Really? Nah. I think it looks good. I would leave it as is.

Some awesome pics and advice here. I am going to lift & level my 18 TRD off road. Can anyone recommend a good place to take it into for the work in Colorado? North of Denver?

Appreciate the advice, ordered a supreme suspensions 2/1 leveling kit. Tracking promises delivery by Saturday 11/23 hope to have installed by Sunday 11/24. See what Black Friday special Discount Tire offers on a set of 275/70/17 Ko2’s! Once stock wheels are wrapped with new tires I’ll have an alignment done.

Please post pictures after you do your lift? Can’t you go with 285 tires when you do a lift like that?

Sure will. To my understanding, no. You need to go at least 3” up front to clear 285’s. May be wrong though, stand to be corrected if it isn’t so.

You know what I believe your right. 3 inches is what I just seen on other post. I like the 285 look but I just wonder how the power will be affected.

I have 3 buddies running 285’s, Off-Road/Limited and SR5. My poor buddy and his SR5 is sucking gas up like krazy! Other one on his Off-Road lost about 2 MPG’s, installed a full K&N and gained about 1.5 MPG’s back. Limited did loose about 1.5 MPG’s and you feel some power loss as well. Personally I chose the route of 2/1 to avoid having to change UCA’s. Most don’t swap but I hear it’s recommended to. Plus I wanted to go 275’s to not loose much power and gas.

I gave in, got tired of seeing all the bad a%# ones when driving. Route I’m taking is low budget, “wrong” in others opinion but so many success stories I’ve read. It was my turn to take a crack at it.

Looks great! What's your wheel and tire size? Any rubbing issues?

Installed Supreme Suspension 2/1 with diff drop. I did it by myself and it took about 5 hours using a floor jack and a pair of jack stands. I had to grind down the fixed shock tower studs a bit for a flush fit. I also had to cut rear aftermarket u bolts as they were too long for deep well socket. The skid plate bracket also needed to be trimmed to clear differential.

I couldn't have done it without this video

I also couldn't have done it without my Milwaukee 1/2" impact driver. I purchased it specifically for this job.

Ok so my 2/1 lift is installed to include diff drop. I notice a vibration around 20 mph when decelerating. It's not bad but definitely wasn't there before. Do I need the carrier bearing shims? Just to confirm, is what I'm looking for, OME part # FK29?

    I didn’t think you needed a diff drop on a 2/1 lift.?

Mixed answers. I did it for good measure. Seems logical though. Strut spacer is 1" thick and diff spacer is also 1" thick.
