Time for a Raptor...or single piece drive shaft. Don’t think their tailgates are 6ft. Power wagon’s are LOL. Those are the only 2 other trucks I’d ever drive.

A buddy of mine has a Raptor (V8) that he supercharged...and can easily roast the 37” tires with his 700hp 8mpg beast. Oh I wish I could justify that. lol

I love driving manual but on a daily basis idk if I could do it, especially around Atlanta with traffic. But my dad had an 1st gen that was a blast to learn to drive in

I can can Offroad an AT better than I can in an MT. I remember taking my fj40 up some black trails at Golden Mt.
At the end of that trip I said to myself:
    1. WTF am I doing our here in this non rusted straight 40.
    2. I have no business driving a MT Offroad...my poor clutch ;(

Make sure it’s a 4wd and you can just put it in 4Lo. That’s what I do when I get stuck in traffic

Yeah, I am going to paint it. Need to get some sound deadening to mount on the back wall of the truck. Some guys have said that it sounds like a jet engine without it. I can honestly say I would agree with that since I drove around with the seats folded down and could hear more noise coming from the back.

Sound deadening the back wall was a huge improvement. I just wish I didn't procrastinate doing the doors. Those sound deadening mats adhesive doesn't last forever! I need to get a good heat gun to see if I can reactive the adhesive.

@marinemonkey Just added himself to GB#19. I think GB#18 finally closed in Sept and I just got it yesterday so not too bad.

Definitely take the time on sound deadening. It was well worth the effort. I put two layers on and still wishing I had put a carpet liner over it. Might do that this winter. Are you deleting the back seats too?

No, I'm not deleting the seats. I still have a need for them right now. I am just going to remove the plastic bins that are behind the seats. should give me about 6 inches of space back there to mount anything I can't fit under the seats or in those plastic pockets.

Funny thing is, I used butyl tape used in roofing in the 4 runner and it worked amazing on the floor, not so much on the walls.

After you showed me that panel on the GB I am on the fence about it. Was going to get th e solid one so I could mount said Electrical setup on it, and switch panel. I still just may do that.

Like Steven, I am deleting my seats and adding a platform, so sound proofing will be coming up. I just really wanted to make all my final wiring before I laid down that stuff.

I am looking to do this in the back. I like both of these designs.
