If you plan on delivering it to someone, might just leave it on. How else can you meet somebody? Unless they come pick it up. Pretty sure the top won't take too long to remove. Really wish it was black. Such a good deal.

 

Just stating what the rules say...

5. You must include a picture of the item you're selling. It must be the actual item, not a manufacturer stock photo. It can be attached to the post, or embedded from other sites, such as photobucket. The item MUST be available for sale at time of posting. If its on a vehicle, make sure its removed. If you want to sell something, and its still on the vehicle, then you can make a thread after its removed, and ready for sale.

 

It's to avoid scamming based on historical precedence most likely. Having it off shows it's ready to go and ensures the condition is what the purchaser is getting.

Otherwise they can agree to a price and make a deal, then damage could occur during the removal process which puts the whole deal into turmoil. Especially if cash has already changed hands.

True story, was having a yard sale and was selling a telescope. ($50 or so new in store) Selling it for $10. Lady bought it, handed me the cash, then as I proceeded to fold the legs up for her, a leg snapped off. Gave her the money back of course but I learned that if someone buys something, they touch it last.

 

does this rest directly on the rails of the truck with no mods and just clamp in place?
