What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I think Atlanta requires a yearly smog check. Years ago the whole state required a yearly safety inspection but they did away with it. Too many crooks. I used to take mine to a junkyard way out in the sticks. Pay you 8 bucks and the mechanic would slap a sticker on your windshield without even looking at the vehicle. Did this for years. At the other end of the scale were inspections stations that would sell you unneeded parts and services before you got the sticker.

 

That sucks.

But stay up there - Texas is full.

 

Yesterday was my 1 year with my taco. 1 year, 18500 miles and many more to go. Top pic is the day I took delivery, bottom pic is yesterday for a 1 year transformation pic.

 

Yup I did get a new registration sticker coming in the mail and I will get it re inspected.....damn that dude.....

All chrome is officially gone, lights(front and rear) fogs, side markers and all. Only new bit is the dogs and headlights today.

 

You actually don't even need to do any form of inspection on a new vehicle for first 6 years, then you do an inspection every 2 years thereafter which is no longer a smog test. They just do a readiness check via OBDII port and visual inspection of the exhaust to make sure you didn't cut the cats out.

Nice. Still have chrome lug nuts. I have those same wheels..switched to black lugs and really like the look.

 

Dam you lol. Yeah, I have been thinking of doing new lugs but haven’t heard great things about a lot of the aftermarket ones, but I’m thinking about gorilla

You have more self discipline than me. It would be a miracle if I can wait 8 months. I’m already planning my lift, wheels and tires.

 

I got mine from eBay. Still on Toyota care and I asked them to tighten by hand so not to scratch them. Haven’t had a problem.

 

All ready for the holiday mall rush. Black overlays to hide the Limited chrome door handles and a wash.

In my defense , I did take the princess mountain biking yesterday.

 

Light Maintenance. 5 tire rotation, and greased up errthang.



Found a failed UCA boot, gotta hit up SPC for a replacement kit quick.

 

Oh trust me, I hate living here and will poke fun at the crazy idiots that run this state any chance I get.

 

Lucky you. When my state figures out how to get its hand on your wallet they take full advantage ................., year after year and every year there after.
