That would be interesting. Do you think his contract factors in at all? Like would Detroit want to pay it? Would he himself want to sit back and collect for a bit. Would he or other teams rather Toronto have to pay that? etc etc. Seems petty but just curious or if it'll just be a situation where a team will want him and just scoop him up, like Detroit.

He scored anyways though, in the loss lol. I must admit that those guys are putting up points an an insane pace. You would think with a team that many consider 'top heavy' that it would be reasonable to slow down their big guns, but apparently not lol.

Someone will hire him for more than 8 million. It'll probably be either Detroit or Seattle. After watching the Leafs seemingly play more relaxed last night though... I dunno. Time will tell but maybe Babcock did have a problem with the players and if TO succeeds without him it'll drive his stock down.

 

I dont think he wants to coach anymore, and why would he. Hes made 50 mil. Thats insane. I think maybe he was as uninterested as the players with the roster Dubas gave him. I still think the whole this is ridiculous when you think if they knew they would bring in Keefe eventually they should have done it in the summer. No excuse not to. Just wasted 6-7 months or more really

 

Yup. If Dubas really felt the coach he needed was the guy in the system and not the guy on the bench he should of made the move after losing to Boston.
