    Hi guys and gals,
    Just bought my dream ride (never thought I would say that about a truck) and I'm soaking up this new feeling.
    Now, I have to decide the order of the mods. The dealer that I bought from gave me lifetime drivetrain warranty.
    So far I've bought this because I a yakker, plus it works for the rare occasion that I'll use it for real work like carrying lumber, plywood, e.t.c.

    Rule 1. Dealers never 'give' you anything. In this case it's usually all the required services at their location that will pay for what the warranty. And they are rolling the dice that your lifetime (of ownership) will be shorter than any real trouble period.

    Read the rules around that really really carefully. Most of these gimmes are very restrictive in the guidelines to keep the warranty valid. You miss dotting an 'i' or crossing a 't' and you may find yourself on your own.

    Lol.. yes, "gave" sounds too generous for a dealer. This dealer, Toyota of Homestead gives this as a standard benefit from buying a used vehicle from them. The catch is that it's not transferable. The average car purchase never keeps a vehicle for life. This means it's a safe bet unless you're a taco owner.
    The fine print is that you must keep current with the required manufacturer's maintenance and keep the records which sounds fair to me to ensure you take care of the vehicle and on any case those maintenance visits is money in their pocket.

    Oh not at all. Used it to move the canoe a few blocks on residential streets at 5mph though. Definitely recommend the hitch rack or a roof rack. Or even better a dedicated yak trailer. You can build them pretty easily with the old harbor freight trailers.
