Don’t get why all the other folks have to slam your experiences. But I’ve had the a similar thing, went to pull out from a stop sign and all the sudden felt like my truck was in neutral. Let off the peddle and then pressed it again and it accelerated as expected.
Those who say it is normal don’t know what normal is. I’ve driven hundreds of cars and this is not normal.

Run some test in the sport mode, as to see if there's improvement.

Also, I have not checked yet, but there maybe an aftermarket fix(like different tuning/shift points)

2017 with 110,000 miles. I have experienced what the OP has three or four times. Every time it has been when I have been in a situation where, due to my own inattention, I needed full throttle power immediately. Most have been during a left turn where I miss judged the speed of an oncoming vehicle. Obviously I have no idea why it does what it does, but assumed it was more of a control input issue rather than an internal transmission issue. It takes just a split second to get a response in real time but when in flight mode it seems like long seconds of delay. But it for sure shakes one up when it does happen.

Ok cool, so pretty much regular automatic transmission operation then?
