The original owner (I'm the second owner) drove less miles than I did . I bought the truck in 2016 with only 54k miles on it and the original owner only averaged 3800 miles per year . I'm averaging 5k miles per year

Nah, in hindsight you never wanna change things that allowed you so much learning and experiencing. With that said I love how you've built it man. Pretty damn good for a first time building a 4x4:cool:

Thank you sir, I admit there are things I would do differently looking back, but at the time I was learning as I go (still am really). The roof rack is my one big regret. I don't mind the look of it but it's just not practical at all and repairing the roof after I take it off is going to take some work.

Yeah the 395 highway from North CA all the way down to the southern part (Death Valley area) is absolutely beautiful, something everyone should do at least once regardless of what they think about CA. Follows the Serria all the way down. It's too much for words, really

I really wanna go to Death Valley as well. Is it realistic to combine death valley and the Sierras for a trip? Not necessarily for the difficulty of trails but more for the scenery and crap. Maybe 10 days to go through the Sierras and DV? Be enough days to see most of the good stuff?

Oh yeah that would be plenty of time to enjoy both, definitely don't do it over late Spring through early Fall though, or it'll be hot as hell lol. Late Fall would be my ideal time to do that trip

Haven’t checked in here in a long time. Just turned 80k. That makes 25k I’ve put on it.
