OK, I hear ya, if we are going by that mentality, then I must say I have to sell my Tacoma. GM has been around longer than Toyota so they must be smarter, as they have had more time to advance and I don't see all the Chevy's blowing up. I can assume this because they should be more advanced and have sold millions of vehicles. I guess so NOT!!!!

Now really, we don't know, so many things that go one that are not on this forum. You answer kind of sounds like the guy who says his ford is the best because that's what dad drove and his dad and so on. You can't go by that. Now if there was some major problem, yes I concede, it may be published and found out. But what if it is a minor problem that only affects a small percentage and most get out unscathed. By your thinking just go with the majority and you will probably be OK, as most are, but what if you are one of the unlucky ones????

Kind of like saying you don't really need a house alarm because the chances of getting a break in if you factor total population are really remote, but some people just want that peace of mind......

I say for the cost, if it makes you happy just do it, if you don't want to then don't. This is a first world problem for sure hahahaha. No disrespect meant at all, we are all playing here :)

Ranger has an inboard computer that calculates your oil change interval based on driving habits.

... But you still have to remove the tire to do it. :bananadead:

Just an fyi, you don't actually have to remove the tire. I do wonder if the computer takes into consideration thermal efficiency though.

You don’t have to remove the tire itself, but you are required to remove the truck from the tire.

I've spent some time perusing the 4Runner and Tundra forums.

    I've had an epiphany....

    The Tacoma isn't the problem.

Tacoma owners are. Not all of you...but a lot of you. Some of you just plain suck.

The 5th gen 4runner and the current Tundra have the same oil change intervals and the same filter setup.

Guess what? No fucking daily whine threads or forum slap fights about what oil to use, whether Toyota is screwing them by using a 10K interval, how hard it is to change the filter....you know...the bread and butter of TW.

Hey TW - stop with acting like pussies. Be better.

    Toodles,

    Skip

    You must be new here.

There are a jillion oil change threads one TW. All of them go to shit - just like this one.

This one here...it's just a wee baby.
