The OEM flares just don't stick out enough to warrant getting them if you don't already have them in my opinion.

Im sure that's true, I think im just trying to convince myself that if I put them on it would be for more than just looks. The look of the truck without them is starting to grow on me and I really do like the fact that the majority of Tacoma's have them and that not having them is actually somewhat of a rarity.

Nothing special, just fucked around at Folsom lake today. Lots of dudes fishing so didn’t want to be asshole and cut through all the water like I wanted to.

285/75/16. Stock suspension, CMC, fender liners pushed back/in. Still rubs on fender liners in back but isn’t horrible.

Glad I decided to get snow tires after all, first big storm of the winter today and the Firestone’s are great.

I removed the side steps and got some 265/70r17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W put on, this size should come from the factory.

Can you be more specific as to exactly when you experience this vibration?

Usually at idle, in reverse and when coming to a stop after driving. Vibration goes away once you start driving but when you stop, vibration starts.

Hello my fellow SR owners! I decided after a year it was time for some mods. Looking back on it I probably should not have bought this given my leg problems but I loved the truck I bought for my son so much I had to have one. I can barely get in and out of his lifted SR so I sadly knew lifting it would be a bad idea.

So for mine I wanted it to look cool but keep it stock height and decided on 4runner limited wheels. I bought a used set off CL and had them powder coated gloss black. Then I found a thread where a member posted the part number and everything for OEM TRD center caps in satin black. Ordered TPMS sensors (didn't work) and ordered black lugs (wrong, new set incoming) and ordered the K02 tires in 275/55/20 with 1.25 inch wheel spacers from spidertrax. Amp Research power steps were next and had it all installed (waiting on the bakflip f1).

The look is exactly what I was picturing and I love it. The problem is despite my exhaustive research the front tires rub at full lock in reverse even after some trimming. Now after all my careful planning I have to lift it dammit. My 2019 sits 3/4 of inch high in back and its perfect for my eye so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Right now I'm thinking 5100's on the first or second notch and a 1 inch block.

My budget SR 4 cylinder build has ballooned almost 6 grand so far and I'm tired of seeing my wife shake her head at me. Wish me luck getting this thing dialed in!

PS I love the SR thread :)

What are the tires rubbing on? Have you considered a cmc Instead of lifting?

It's rubbing on the cab mount drivers side and some of the fender liner passenger side so the chop won't cure it 100% but I'm thinking about doing it. $300 so its the most economical solution.

Fender liner is pretty responsive to a heat gun or you could just let the tires rub the plastic away lol ... If you don't really care about adding height or adding ground clearance lifting will be more headache than it's worth imo between alignment issues, chasing squeaks/pops, CV & driveline angles , plus ride quality will change... just my 2 cents after doing a 2/1 lift on my sr... Either way nice truck  the wheels look awesome
