Anyone else have this problem. I will post pics tomorrow. Installed my SSO slim line bumper today and the high clearance sides. The drivers side wing fits perfect with barely any gap showing, it bolted right up and I didn’t need any spacers. I went to do the passenger side and I can not for the life of me get it line up with out a major gap showing on the top is out about 1/2 inch and the bottom is pushed in and wont line up flush at the bottom edge. I tried using spacers and it just won’t work. Not sure what is going on. I took it off after many hours trying to get like the other side but to no avail. It looks like the end plate needs to be bent just a little more to get it to fit right. Or maybe the holes drilled in the bumper are a tad bit off because I can hold it up to where it is flush and the holes in the bumper itself are just a little off. Very frustrating to say the least. I’m going to give it another shot tomorrow but I my end up welding it on Im the correct spot or drill some other holes to get it to line up where it is suppose to be. I am very mechanically inclined as well and I just can’t get it right.

And just to say this is a kick ass bumper and looks badass. I’m very happy with it besides that one side. But I will get it to work one way or another. SSO off-road makes quality parts and I look forward to doing more business with them, these are custom made parts, so not everything will be perfect. I’m just Amazed how good they look and the quality of there craftsmanship. Nice job sso.

Here is the drivers side and the passenger side with the gap and you can see in the photo that the bolt holes don’t line up where the wing is suppose to sit Also on that same wing, one of the notches isn’t totally in place I noticed. Not sure how this affects the torment but I just wanted to share with sso off-road and anyone else to see if they have any issues like myself.

Was your bumper and stage 2 ordered together or did you have your bumper for a while first?

Don’t let this deter anyone with there bumper tho. They have spot on products. I have done metal fab and to make something like this is hard and takes a lot of work to get all the lines to be prefect. If I had to do it again I totally would. This bumper is awesome!!!

Has anyone installed the slimline and smittybilt x20 winch? It seems nearly impossible to get the two front bolts in because the space is so small

I have that same winch on mine. I just held the winch up till I could slide the bolts on and gently set it on the bolts and you should be able to start them

I for one am glad this is not yet available in a one piece.....cause I'd be a bit poorer right now if it was.

No offense, but that looks like an easy fix for you. Maybe 30 mins of your time. Grab a drill and a grinder for the notch and you are good to go after throwing a little black paint on it. I have had to slightly modify almost every fabbed piece I have received from the different large fab companies I have ordered from; Mobtown, RCI, etc. I have SSO's bumper and it is a great fitting piece. Just waiting to buy Stage 2. Not every piece is going to be perfect every time. These are not made by robots, so fix it and enjoy your awesome looking bumper.

Thanks for your professional opinion. Not trying to be a dick but it seems people don’t read anything anymore before they put in there 2 cents. But its actually not a big deal and I did make it fit. A drill and a grinder btw isn’t the way to fix it but that’s ok. There isn’t a problem with the bumper. the Passenger side high clearance wing doesn’t line up with the bolt holes and wasn’t bent all the way. I metal fab so I know I’m not an idiot and I know how to fix it I was just trying to see if anyone else had this problem and is sso off-road was aware of it. I know they have different jigs now, and to make all those bends and make the lines match up isn’t easy. I know.

    TRDtacomamr2.
Same issues with my install back in July.
Look up post 588,632,641 and 655 when I completed the install.
1/4"-1/2" gaps are not going to work for me. The only solution was to grind and weld pieces up, to create a 1pc bumper.
I also had the same issues with the end of the stage2 wings not being even at the wheel wells. Passenger side is 1" shorter on my truck, if I would of noticed that on roughing the bumper up, we could of extended to match when we were cutting and welding.
Here's a few photos 5 months later everything still looking good.
I bought a sheet of kydex to repair/rebuild my inner wheel well liners, to keep road debris from slinging into engine compartment. I'll get to that project when business slows down a bit.

Thank you for the information. Seems we have the same problem. Did sso off-road send you a new piece or anything? I got a new passenger side wing from them that I haven’t installed yet but will be shortly to see if it is right. I welded my passenger wing on for now until I get the time to fully weld it. That looks amazing by the way great job.
