I mean I can tell you're a guy that appreciates quality, if you have the time to wait for that perfect hoopty, might want to test drive some Land Cruisers as well. Specifically 93-97 for the beastly I6 4.5L with optional factory lockers front and rear. And then 98-99 got the V8 but with IFS torsion bar front, extremely durable system(not loved by modders but the reliability is loved by remote villages all through African continent and Asia:rofl:we're not the main customer base to Toyota for these lolol)
But I'd definitely recommend some seat time in them. Wish you could drive my different ones because give you a feel for the degree of moddedness to the perceived affected drivability. But yeah I'm excited to see where this leads you, yeah I'm nerdy like that :D

Apparently the only OEM fitment is a Cosworth Vega so I'm not too surprised

You already triple checked the part number cross referencing and all that? Already exhausted possibility of same thing from different manufacturer?

I think you right. There are some cruiser clubs in the area that get out and do a lot of fun stuff. I hope to run into one of my friends from NWA in a couple of weeks and talk about the one in this picture. Maybe get to drive one.

Great looking hundy, or hundred series. If I do the Moab thing with the group it'll prolly be in one of those on 35s with the rear locker.
You can skip the rear locker option without shooting yourself in the foot if you go with 2000-2007 on the 100 series. They can with A-TRAC that, as much as I was a snob before and 'locked' was only thing worth beans in my mind, the ATRAC functions very well and controlled. I was stunned at Moab when I watched and heard one running an obstacle. Sounds kinda like ABS braking. Well I guess it is..... Anyways yeah. Such high high quality vehicles. I'll shut up. I get all high function spectrum when I talk Cruisers :D:rofl:

The hoard of duck hunters are back in front of my house for the season. I was awoken at 5 AM by what sounded like a brick of C4 going off. It’s just gun shots after gun shots all the live long day, I can’t wait for them to be gone.

Notice how the UltraPower and Cardone have the same part number. Makes me wonder if they are the same part just rebadged and with a different warranty.

When in doubt about a particular part, I search on the part number to see how the reviews are rating a product. Google "cardone 971697"

The dealership or even Camelback should sell reman OEM racks for about $400...I'd sooner go that route than getting one of those aftermarket ones that will probably have leaky seals in no time with how you use your truck.

If a steering rack was as easy as a CV axle to swap out it'd be different but they are a bit harder and more time consuming so I've heard lol
