    UPDATE:

Just wanted to give a little update. I will be sending out I think I have like one or two orders on my list, but I did make some kits so I have some stock built back up finally. Yay!
    :bananadance:

Also, I have my Vendor currently working on this fun little piece so I soon will be able to offer this out to everyone as a little extra piece to the Kit that I think will definitely be worth it and add a huge touch. It might be the smallest thing you can think of but it makes a huge difference.

YES!! i knew dragging my feet getting my kit installed would pay off. When do you expect that 2-hole wire protector to be available?

EDIT: I already have the kit, I just need this piece.

I’m not entirely sure as my vendor is currently working on all of these projects for me at once but he is looking at one more thing to see if he can actually find the dual piece so he doesn’t have to make it from scratch because it would be a lot quicker. However, if he can’t find it for me, then he will design it from my single one that I took off my truck and gave him and then make it. So hopefully then he will give me an ETA. If you haven’t noticed, my Vendors typically work relatively quick for me. They are pretty quick. Especially with how many things I throw at them. I can’t really complain at all.

That’s a great addition, Katie. I broke mine and kind of jury rigged it back into place. I’d get a replacement for sure.

Try flipping the rod in the actuator. It’ll give it a better push angle.
This extra parts come with the actuator and are not used, not needed.

I would loosen the actuator bracket and bolts holding the actuator and change the push angle as much as possible. Then tighten them back up. Then put the push rod where it is pushing it to lock it. Might have to to adjust/tweak the push rod till it works consistently.

Some of the kits with this rod people had to re bend the rod making it longer to work currently . There’s a photo somewhere in this thread of the current rod size .

You can use pliers to re bend the end to the rod to the right size and it will have no effect of the strength of the rod .

Thanks, I just made my own rod as a temporary fix and everything works. I didn’t want to start bending the one that came with it until I heard back from Katie.

I’m surprised yours uses that wire rod. Mine came with a flat bar. See pic below.

Just like they all said. With the first Kits this was the known shortfall with that Rod unfortunately. However, the good thing is you can bend the Rod and rebend it so that is it the perfect length and it is still as strong as it was the first time. If you ever want to upgrade your Rod or Kit, you can also do that.
