So what's the easiest and best way to wire up raptor lights? I ordered some off of ebay, said it had a wiring harness but not sure what it will come with though.

So if I’m understanding you correctly, you don’t know what you bought but you want to know how to wire it? :pccoffee:

That way if one light goes out, the rest in the tree will not follow suit due to the dead circuit.

I'm sure it's not going to just plug in and I'm sure other people already know what I'm asking. Plus it would be nice to see what others have done to pick the way I want to do it.

There will be two wires in the raptor harness one red one black...black to a body ground and the red to the purple wire going to your driver’s side parking light which is a fused protected 12v source operated by the headlight stalk on the steering column.

I just did an add a fuse to the parking lights. Took ten minutes.

$6.99 for one at Auto Zone. $9.99 for a 5 pack on Amazon. They're low profile.

I don't know why anyone would splice wires.

The add-a-fuse makes it difficult to get the fuse box cover back on and sealed up properly.

Did you add it to the fuse box inside the truck?

Did you have to cut / notch the cover for wire egress?

The large harness to the box can be unclipped and you can run the wire nicely. See the pic

Why not. I do it all the time. Let’s you lengthen circuits, trace issues and guarantee proper soldered waterproof connections. Over the last 35 years I’ve done hundreds of soldered splice joints successfully, and the new heat gun only connectors are simpler than anything else.
All these are exposed to 80mph ice conditions flawlessly:
