Rain's better than snow

 

Yep, for sure. Temps will dip low enough tonight that these showers may finish up as a bit of snow. Nothing big though.

Got a shit ton of leave to mulch up finally. But it's too wet to do it.

 

I’d take snow over rain this time of year. Rain means a wet cold that penetrates your bones and turns everything to mud. Give me 20 degrees, crisp and snowy and frozen ground. Better for the animals and better for us.

Low riding! Even with the AAL this was maybe an animal moving task better suited to a full size truck. Borrowed the trailer, and while overall weight was fine, with those trailer wheels so far back it was quite a bit of tongue weight. Also a dropped hitch ball would have helped but this straight one was the only one I had in that size.

What’s the switch next to the traction control?

 

Depends on what model you have what does it look like I am thinking its the rear diff lock.

 

That's what controls my bed lighting. It's an old OEM Toyota fog light switch from the 90s that I never used. I don't even remember what I bought it for.

The lights were originally supposed to be wired up to come on and off with the interior lights. I didn't like that. So I wired them up to work independently. Being the cheap ass I am I just used that switch. Works great and even as an orange LED to let me know when the lights are on.

That was an optional bed lighting kit that was offered for the Tacoma and Tundra a few years back. It wasn't an official OEM part per say. But was developed for the Southeast dealer group.....a huge dealership conglomerate.

A few years back there was a group-buy here on TW...can't remember who...North Miami Lexus maybe. Anyway...that's where I got them.

 

Looks like it's still available. Priced a little higher these days. Think I paid $60.
