    Everyone knows that.

Since they sell the most, the McDonald's hamburger is obviously the best one in the world.

And Walmart sells the best merchandise.

    Oh wait...

I would walk around my 3rd gen Tacoma once a month and touch up chipped paint ! 4 months with the ford paint still holding ! Even on the hood and door frames .again don’t hate the player facts ! I have had two Tacoma’s !

Nobody hates you. A disagreement on a forum with a person you don’t know does not equal hate.

However a manufacturer selling you on a vehicle, then turning around and releasing a clean sheet model 2 years later that will smoke it in every way, well......that’s close.

At least you pluralized it! It is true, you need to buy a couple nice-driving Fords for every reliable Toyota.

I don’t understand how this painfully stupid metaphor continues to come up on this forum. The Tacoma is the sales leader in it’s category for a legitimate reason, despite what the unholy alliance of butthurt second gen’ers and Ranger owners seem to think.

More importantly, I don’t blame the guy for laughing at the sales figures after the hoards of idiots claiming the Ranger was finally going to be the one to unseat the Tacoma as the sales leader wouldn’t shut up for months. It didn’t. Neither did the Colorado, neither will the Gladiator. When are people going to accept that people simply like Japanese, especially Toyota, small and midsize pickup trucks? They own the segment like Ford owns the half ton segment.

For some reason people are unable to be happy that the 3rd Gen Tacoma has been such a resounding success. It’s an attractive, reliable, all rounder that works for many people. I get compliments on my truck on a weekly basis, people just like them.

I owned a m/t 2016 Tacoma. Traded it in on a 2019 auto, big mistake. Kept the auto for a year and just couldn’t deal with the drivetrain any longer. I tried my best to ignore the constant shifts, I live in hilly country, but couldn’t. Drove a Ranger and really liked the power train. To each his own, I’ll test drive the next gen Taco, but for now the Ranger is a far better ride to me. Not trying to bash, just giving an opinion. Looks are subjective and I like both when decked out to suit me.

BTW, my post was a sarcasm response to another poster if you didn't catch that.

And comes up because it is accurate.

Brand loyalty is a deep thing and hard to get past sometimes.

The Toyota faithful are quick to point out how much better the Tundra is than the F150 despite selling so few, yet in the same breath point out that the Tacoma is the best because it sells the most.

The Tacoma loses every comparison test (well not to the Frontier) yet people still buy them because they like them.

And no forum has more White Knights than this one.

Remember the guy whose rear axle locked up on the highway and the 3rd gen White Knights were basically excoriating the guy, calling him everything just short of an out and out liar, and demanding everything from the GPS coordinates to dashcam video for proof?

And then a week later the massive recall for rear axles comes out.

Nothing to see here, move along.

I lol every time I hear this. I owned my 3rd gen for four years and had one person comment on my truck. I would attribute that to my ugly scary mug but people constantly asked me about my kayak when I hauled it.

Ah yeah, all due respect but being a white access cab it’s visually pretty close to a work truck, that would explain it.

Yikes! My vision is terrible. Well, as a 3rd Gen fanboy I think it was a great looking truck either way. Hope you’re happy with the tundra though! I’d love to get an SR as a work truck in the future.

Lot’s of Ford fleets out there. It’s not consumers buying them but big corporations looking for cheap trucks.
