I’m looking at getting some running boards for my 2019 double cab truck. I like the tiger star running boards. What did you go with and how you like them?

I got these "cheapos" off of eBay. I modified the brackets to make them fit tight up under the truck.

I really like the Tyger Stars.
They are pretty high up for comfortable steps. Not a problem for me. Since they stick out past the doors they work well to prevent door dings. I would recommend them. FYI they look similar but they are not sliders 0690229F-EB5E-41E3-9582-A212A795FF7F.jpg 0690229F-EB5E-41E3-9582-A212A795FF7F.jpg

Toyota cast aluminum. Nice running boards and they provide great rock (flung from tires) and door ding protection.

OEM cast Aluminum here ... I’m pretty happy with them.

I’ve been looking for these around me with no luck. All the online dealers want 200+ shipped

I wish I could have found them new for $200. Most of the dealers around SoCal wanted over $600 for them. I got lucky finding some new takeoffs local.

Sorry I worded that wrong. 200+ for just the shipping

I’m trying to find takeoffs but nothing yet

These are great. Had dealer put on these. No slip no matter how much rain and saves your seat side bolsters so the wife doesn't slide her ass off getting out. It'll stop MOST doors from hitting yours.

Toyota OEM 5” chrome oval running boards that came on my truck. They’re built well, seem like good quality/design and don’t flex but I think they’re ugly-AF.
I might paint them black if i get the time or i’ll wait and take them off completely once my son is tall enough to jump in without them....

The OEM cast aluminum ones. They were on the truck when purchased, and a must to deal with roof rack. And like others said, they stick out far enough to protect against most door dings.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I’ve test drive a truck before I purchased mine and it had the Predator steps and they seemed they weren’t as functional.

Avid-offroad slider style steps. Awesome look. Love them. Half the price of sliders. Get a custom look that will set you apart from your parking lot mates. And no silly branding or stars or logos. Great group of guys to deal with too.

Hit up @2ndGenJonny with any questions.
