Lighted Safety Whips

From experience, can someone recommend a durable LED safety whip for a truck? Two online vendors that caught my attention are Tribal Whips, who have a large selection, and Gorilla Whips, who offer a wireless remote. Does anyone have experience with either?

I've seen lighted whips in the dez and they impress me with their inherent safety design. About the only drawback I can think of is being blinded if following a vehicle with a lighted whip as they can be very bright.

 

Answering my own question. I took the initiative and ordered an LED lighted whip. Went with a 6-foot blue LED whip from Tribal Whips. I am quite impress with the quality and function. I installed it on one of my bed stiffeners, each of which includes a whip mount; I installed it over the power outlet so I can turn it on/off from inside the cab. The whip draws half an amp and is quite bright. Also bought a couple of high quality whip flags from Devil Woman Flags; they stitch them to your specifications.

I went out to the dez last weekend and the whip withstood the rigors of off-roading. In CA, they cannot be lit on public roads, at night.

Did your whip come with the adapter? I’m trying to do the same but having trouble finding the adapter to be able to plug it into my outlet. TIA!

 

I got the whip where the led is spiralling around it. So it can do patters in 360 degrees

 

Yes, two matter of fact; an aluminum adapter for the 5/8ths diameter light pole, and an adapter that goes inside that adapter to house a standard 1/4-inch flag pole.

 

I was referring to the plug. You plug yours into the outlet in the truck bed. Did that part come with your whip or did you get that separately?

 

@chaos_laser Aha, the power source/adapter ... No, you have to provide; light stick uses half an amp; so, any DC adapter should work if you connect the wires properly. I got mine from Amazon, $13, 34W ACDC adapter Trohestar. I'm using the power adapter below.
