Trans is perfect....in fact it shifting its little heart out is a great indicator of how good it is.

The problem is lack of torque in the rev range the severely overdriven 5th and 6th puts you in for sake of fuel economy.

More grunt down low, ie forced induction and it will work perfect.

 

Added the the header rail, took all of 10 min to install. You just need a T-30. Fits perfectly.

 

Got a new smile from Bay Area Metal Fab with matching blue Toyota insert.

 

Put in some sound deadening material today. Even Mia helped out!

 

re-worked the failed SPC failed UCA boots.

Took advantage of Cali Raised black Friday sale and ordered a complete kit for the hidden bumper led light.

 

Is there a gap underneath the box, or does it completely fill the cavity? I sure like this idea.

Don’t forget to install your cleats before the rails if you want to retain them.

 

As you can see, it tilts slightly forward. There is a slight gap underneath but it fit snug so it can't move. It touches the floor in the back and then tilts forward. If you zoom in you can kinda see the contact points.
There is not enough space underneath to store anything else (maybe a rag but that's it). You van slide the toolbox inward to make some space for (in my case) some work gloves. Closing the lid secures the toolbox.
