Elon said they’ll start making that model in 3 years, which really means at least 2023. By then there should be some good aftermarket cybersnorkel options.

I had planned to install AEM gauges but recently saw a post that they don't work well with altitude. Are there any others out there that are worthy? Hoping to keep the same style for both afr and boost.

Speedhut manual gauges work well and so do Innovate digital boost guages only. Stay away from their AFR gauges!

So innovate and AEM are a no go for AFR gauges? I think I see a new section on the OP (unless I’ve missed an update).

my aem afr's are great. their boost gauge seems slightly off. probably the sensor, not the gauge itself.

I posted an issue I had with AEM boost gauge at altitude but I didn't get to finish their AFR gauge install as I was trying to sort out the boost gauge issue. As many others here have attested to, speedhut gauges are great. Their boost sensor adjusts to atmospheric pressure and gives a more accurate reading. I'm at ~7000' and am reading about 7 psi at Wot, about where I expect to be considering my setup.

Anyone know where there's a good explanation for 2nd DTC codes? I just threw some referring to emission control circuits not reading properly; I'm assuming a short or toasted sensor but I want to research to see what my concern level should be.

I’m considering Speedhut boost & afr gauges too, maybe we could get a group buy going ...

No no. Innovate gets my nod of approval for boost gauges, and my disapproval for AFR gauges and AEM gets my approval for AFR gauges and my disapproval for boost gauges (for the moment being).

They are a great company, so if there is a an alternative way to get a MAP sensor and retrofit it to the AEM gauge then I'm sure it would be a much more solid setup as a whole. When I get back from my vacation I will investigate an alternative.

    What are your codes?

they are referring to emissions evaporative control circuits. Codes come back after I clear them, but all other inputs are fine and truck is running FMC. Could it be my O2 sensors?

Oh crap. That involves your EVAP leak detection pump. That item is exclusively integrated into the canister assembly. If you are throwing those codes the odds are pretty good that pump is shot. How many miles do you have on your beast and do you offroad it a lot? I have had good success with blowing out my evap eystem when I had odd activity occurring with it. The system is sealed but it does not like getting a lot of dirt in it which it can do eventually over time, especially with wheeling.

We'll poop. I have about 160k and I off-road often. This is the first issue I've had with it, so I guess I should consider myself lucky.

Okay, what kind of drama am I looking at it with this? Fix ASAP kind of thing or I can wait a week or so? What about driving until it's fixed? It's my daily....

Well EVAP is ultimately EVAP. It involves recycling the vapors which the fuel in your tank naturally emits and reusing it for fuel economy purposes.

If the leak detection pump is indeed shot then you will have to address it at some point to turn the CEL off. More so if you have smog coming up. The codes will cause no drivability issues as they are just emissions control items, so there is no major rush to address it immediately.

Consider yourself lucky if you are barely having issues now. I was having issues by 70K with my EVAP system and it sounds like you wheeled your truck more than I have over its life.

+1, with emphasis on "...you will have to address it at some point to turn the CEL off." Given that we have no emission inspection program here in El Paso County, you should be able to drive it that way as long as you can tolerate the CEL being on.

Side note: What's up with all your quotes of each others' posts being screwed-up?
