I don’t carry a load so I went with option 1. I may go up to 2 down the line if circumstances change. For now the ride is nice and feel much better then the 5100s I had for 5 years on my gen 2. Here’s a side shot

Excuse the poor photoshop, trying to figure out a good wheel/tire choice on stock suspension for now. Was thinking MK6 on 265/70r17, thoughts anyone, this color especially in a sport is hard.

Looks great! So, no CMC or cutting/trimming needed on the fender plastics? How much lift?

I think they said the did 2.5” in the front and about 1.5” rear.

No rubbing at all. I have the icon rebound wheels; 0 offset and 4.75 backspacing.

What are the main differences that you can feel? I'm trying to figure out what I want to do. I really only want to lift the front an inch or so to level it out, but would like a "better" ride. Smoother on the road but less body roll in corners and smooth at high speed on rough roads. Not planning on any rock crawling.

5100’s are very similar to the stock off-road shocks, but much improved. Slightly different valving to handle lift and bigger wheels and tires. It is firmer but still “plush”. This translates into better connection with the road and less body roll.

6112/5160s are very different from both stock off road and 5100s in that they are not as “plush” felling. Instead, they feel PLANTED.
Very much connected to the road, great impact absorption, least amount of body roll/brake dive by far. Not to mention bigger/increased size/surface area, which translates to more ability to take punishment, better cooling and durability.

sounds like you would be best suited with the 5100s.

This, except 5100s on the max setting with stock coils (3'' lift) are a bit gut wrenching, loved the look and a good budget lift, but a downgrade from stock feel imho, of course this will change with the correct coil and 5100 setting.

We will have to disagree on this. I have 5100s max setting and stock coils on the 4R and the ride still feels plush (to me), just a little firmer but not in a bad way. Obviously, this is something very subjective to each individual.

No worries, I've just had stock OR, stock Sport, 5100s with eibach coils, and then 5100s stock coils and the roughest ride in my opinion was the 5100s on stock sport coils. Then again the roads were also sh*t in Tucson. It still rode better than my stock OR with E rated tires, lol.
