can be dangerous...but I have found some useful items. Found a brand new never used humming bird feeder sitting on top of the dumpster. found a framing square had one or two sharpie marks on it no rust nothing.

I have been a trash/treasure collector for many years. Since I was 14 and found 175 porn movies in a dumpster. They were all beta, sold them for 75 bucks.:oldglory:

The strange thing about that one house was the first time I stopped, there was a box on top of their trash, indicating they were in the toss mode. In that box was an antique candlestick telephone, an old machinist watchmaking tool and under that was the stamp book as well as a few of the penny coin books.

The next week I forgot about that house and passed it by (what did I potentially miss??).

The week after that I remember a wooden self that was sticking out of that houses trash and that made me stop and I ended up taking about 3 1/2 64 gallon trash barrels worth of really valuable items that I showed you the first time.

also kind of on a similar topic, wife was a vendor at a local craft fair this weekend. Small but you get to know the vendors etc. Well this one lady that makes jewelry was there like usual, had 2 pieces I was interested in but didnt buy. One was a set of Silver Navajo earrings by a famous artist that is now dead. I tried looking up the earrings but they didnt come up, but a similar version was about $279...I told the lady she should get it appraised. She had them at $50 I think...the other Item was a Jade bracelet from her moms from the 60's or 70's. Found one online similar and it was over$340...I told her she needs to verify/appraise the items. They may be knock offs but they may be legit and she could lose money...

I didn't take pictures of all the jewelry they threw out, I think the person that passed away was an antiques collector.
