I leave a tender on my motorcycle, thnx for reminding me cuz I haven't plugged it in yet lol

But it looks like I might be having battery issues as well... We rented some scaffolding and had to return it by 8am this morning, I'm at work by then so I gave my dad the keys and of course I get a call at 7am that it wouldn't start. I've NEVER turned the key and have it not start. So far my dad's borrowed it twice (or tried to) and BOTH times it didn't start. He tried to jump it without luck, but i'm not confident that he knew what he was doing (last time he said the same thing and I jumpstarted it no problem) so i'm gonna give it another shot when I get home.

I've never gotten any symptoms of a bad alternator so i'm pretty sure that's not it. I drove the truck last night with zero issues. Probably bad battery; i've had the truck two years and haven't had to replace it and no idea when it was replaced last by the previous owner

That's pretty clean and straight! I love the look of the OG! Shame you're taking the bumper off. What are you giving him in return? o_O

Batteries normally have a date on them. My Tundra battery died instantly a couple months ago. I drove home from work fine. Went to go to the dump 30 min after I got home and it was toast. 5 year old OEM Toyota battery.

Well I figured out what it was, and it's not the battery. I came home and pulled my keys out of my pocket, put my key in the ignition and it fired right up. Tried the second spare key that I have and it fired right up. Tried the one I gave him and it cranked and cranked but didnt turn over. Pulled my key out of my pocket again and it fired right up. Turns out the key I gave him is no good. No idea why because it works to open the doors, fits in the ignition and turns, but doesnt start the truck. I assume theres a chip in the key or something but i had no idea. I feel bad that both times hes needed to borrow my truck, I gave him a bad key without knowing that it wouldnt work
