This is a general question, I kinda have my answer already, but wanted to see if anyone has any experience with what I am asking.

I want to purchase a set of Stealth Custom Series rims, originally I was going to go with Ray10s, but heard they wouldn't be in stock until mid December. I decided to go with the BR6 instead.

I want to go somewhat aggressive with the Tire/BS setup so I am thinking of going with 285/70/17 (still looking for which AT to go with - post suggestions below!). I want to go with 17X9 6X139.7 3.50"BS -38mmOffset.

I have about a OME 2 inch lift on the truck, haven't done a CMC or any cutting yet.

My question is can I run the setup I listed above? I have a CMC scheduled in 2 weeks, but wanted to get the tires and wheels this week. Wondering if the rubbing will make it un-driveable. I plan on taking a short camping this weekend, possible run into some snow so I don't want to take the stock tires out there (took them into the mud... got stuck within 5 minutes - my fault, Im a amateur of a driver). I can go with a less aggressive BS/Offset, but in the long haul I would want to be more aggressive (because poke).

Anyone have any experience running 285/70/17 with a 2 inch lift and 3.5Bs/-38mmOffset?

Also, I am stuck, Black or Bronze for the BR6?

I have the ray 10 with same tire size. No rubbing on the cab mount.. had to mold and cut some plastic.

note: I have the icon stage 4 kit with the adjustable UCA.

    Are your Ray10s -38mm/3.5”BS?

I have stock UCAs, you think this will play a huge difference?

    Badass truck dude!

Thanks man! The wheels are 17x8.5 4.30” bs
If you have stock UCA you might have some rubage on the CM and plastics. I can’t say for sure though. I can only speak on my setup, which required plastic trimming!

The Offset you are looking at is going to likely rub badly......If you were going with the SCS -10 I think you would be ok but at -38 I wouldnt drive before the CMC. I have -20 on my truck and had to cut a good amount for proper clearance, especially if you plan to use your truck off-road.

Sorry to barge in but I wanted to ask a question about fitting on this thread- will these measurements fit my 285/70/r17 and have the tire stick out just a bit more compared to stock?

    Diameter: 17″
    Width: 8″
    Bolt pattern (PCD): 6×139.7mm
    Offset: -10mm
    Backspacing: 4.1″

Yes, 0 offset will be flush with the flare. -10 will poke. Is your truck lifted to fit the 285/70?

I’m wanting to run 285/70’s on my 3” lifted Tacoma. Will these measurements fit and give me some poke? (I’ll have to purchase UCA’s most likely and do a CMC)

CMC is a yes you'll need that for the 285's To save you a lot of trimming I'd recommend some adjustable UCA's you'll want to get your caster up in the +4 degree range to clear . That's what I've done to run 35x12.50x17 on Ray 10's with 4.30" back spacing and -10 offset . IMG_2652.jpg OP also you can check with SCS about blems even if they are not the right color spray paint is cheap LOL

I'd try running them If I had those rims , I've been thinking about some 1.25 spacers to stop the side wall to frame rub I have at full lock . That would take me to pretty close to your rims back spacing . as for running them before the cmc I'll guess and say you'll have to do some multi point turns and they might rub really lightly on the fender flares and your mud flaps have to go .

Figured I share - this is what I went with.

    17x8.5 -10mm Offset Stealth Custom Series BR6

    285/70/17 6ply Nitto Ridge Grapplers

Had to remove the mud flaps, the tires rubbed against them. I am currently slightly rubbing against the inner fender liner behind the bumper. Got some Poke (maybe a lil more aggressive later down the road). Thanks for everyones inputs!
