    Update!

I was able to rig up a way to mount the hubcaps to the steel wheels. I am doing a write up in a new thread. Tires arriving later this week so I will update with pics of mounted and installed on the truck by the end of the week.

I don't think those will work. I put steelies on (17" FJ Cruiser version, not from a taco, so YMMV), and had to get "acorn" style lug nuts. Those look like the lug nuts for factory alloys.

Will the stock (alloy) TPMS work with these spare style steel wheels? I've read they can be turned, but not sure if that is legit or not.

Yep, you need 12x1.5 acorn seat lug nuts.

Winter mode 2020-2021. Tire selection TBD.

Now, I've got the OEM FJ center caps (though I think they might be re-pops as I bought them on Ebay as 4Runner / T-1000 caps) and they mount to the wheels the same way the base steel center caps mount to those wheels. Because of that I noticed the base/SR5 steel wheel caps should also fit the FJ steel wheels. I might try ad mount up a set of wheels like that to see what I think.

Mine are still in their boxes. Ordered 4 reconditioned wheels from "wheels tires and more". 3 are great, one is dickered. Waiting on a replacement.

Does anyone know the offset on the 16” steel wheels that come as the spare on the 3rd gen tacos (it’s the 16” steel wheel with the ovaled hole above the valve stem hole). Many thanks for information as I have been searching for this wheels specs.
    Thank you

Did you all go with stick on weights or clamp on with your steel wheels? Getting mine mounted tomorrow.

Clamp on and I just touch it up with some paint. I think it's more durable on steel wheels.

Well damn it. Discount would not mount them because I did want to use the TPMS. Yes I know it's some sort of BS law... Got to find a shop that will.
