Made a dump run in the morning then put some company stickers on, the plan was to match the wheels but they’re a bit off haha they don’t look as orange in person but I think they look pretty cool anyway. ‍♂️

I was thinking of doing something very similar. I've never seen anyone else do it. Nice work. I like it a lot. Mine will be slightly different, not better - just different. Nice work.

Ride on, I hadn’t seen anyone do it on a taco before I did mine either I’ve seen it on a few chevys and fords which gave me the idea. Their is always room for improvement though I like to look at tons of other builds and tweak things a little to how I think they’ll be the best for me. Good luck and remember you can always cut more but it’s not as easy to put it back lol.

'Twas a busy day for me with my new Taco. First order of business was to install my redneck engineered Homelink. I used a garage door remote I had installed in a similar fashion on my motorcycle, and the metal visor clip was long gone, which made using the remote a hassle. Not anymore:

    unnamed_zpsvndduley_8919aeed86fcbdff7c08ce9e7104a173e76b98d3.jpg

Next I did the driver's seat lift mod. I didn't snap pictures of it, but I'm sure you've all seen it. 1 inch makes a huge difference. I'm 5'8", and I like a rather high seating position for increased visibility over the hood. Someone locally has a set of the front billet lift blocks on Offer Up, so I may pick those up as well. If I do, I'll likely go up another half inch in the rear. I test German cars for a living, and even the cheap base models have seat height adjusters. I miss them in the Taco.

Next up was a mixed set of cheapo rubber floor mats from Walmart. I am having a hard time deciding which quality set I want, though I'm leaning heavily towards Rugged Ridge, since I had a set in my Grand Cherokee and loved them. I just wanted to get something installed since my carpets are pristine and my truck came with nothing for mats. I'm in Arizona though, so I'm not worried about large quantities of liquid spilling, so these cheapies will get me by until I decide and order:

I guess you can kind of see the seat lift in the pic of the rear floor mats:
    unnamed%207_zpsaxfyzrwg_ca52ec2290cabf798e75fb00e67598bcddbfdaa6.jpg

Next up, a set of LED reverse lights. My windows are tinted pretty dark, so having some ultra bright reverse lights helps at night. In the photo, the left one is LED, the right one still incandescent. Photos of lights during the day just don't do them justice. Already replaced the headlights with LEDs, and my matching LED fog light bulbs should be here on Tuesday.

I saved the biggest project for last. When I bought my truck, it was fairly obvious that the hood and front bumper had been resprayed, and that they did a shit job of masking off the black bits on the truck before spraying. There was silver paint on the hood scoop insert, every section of the grille, and the grille in the lower valance. I decided that while I was at it, I'd paint the entire hood scoop entrance and insert, as well as the center section of the valance. This was my first time using Plastidip, and based on my experience, it won't be the last. This stuff is awesome lol. I wasn't perfectly happy with where I created the lines for the lower valance, so I'll probably redo at least the end sections of that to move the edges outboard just a bit. Other than that, I'm pretty happy. I was going to peel the Plastidip off of the chrome Toyota emblem on the grille, but I'll be dipping the wheels black before ultimately replacing them with black wheels, so I thought I'd leave it black. I'll likely black out the other badges too. Let me know what you think.

    unnamed%203_zpsk68miauf_330ce73d3842add07a439257ec634b8b4481ad3c.jpg

Last but not least, ordered a 3" kit for it, should be here before my 4-day weekend, with any luck. Until my fun budget grows a bit, I'll probably be rockin' 285's on the stock wheels, dipped black, with 1.5" spacers. Should still look far better than it sits now.

Almost forgot! Threw some $4 Harbor Frieght moving blankets on the rear seats so I can take the doggo places without him making a huge mess. Shopping for a dog hammock that has the door protectors too.

no pics but put a 6" lift on..... my hood. Installed my @SpikerEng struts to the hood. piece of cake aside from having to modify my rivet gun to fit inside the fender. amazing fit and finish, money well spent!

Finally got my @CaliRaisedLed lightbar on my prinsu and I love the way it makes the truck look. Got my sidelights wired up. I also did a ton of wiring adding in an @Iggy switch panel and a power tray to make the wiring set up not look like a fire waiting to happen. Plus made a ton of custom wire looms to help keep everything clean.

Was delivering my 1st gen when I sold it last May and caught a wheel weight like that in the driver side rear tire 1 mile before delivery. It was so big and so bad the tire shop couldn't/wouldn't fix it. I ended up splitting the cost of a new set of tires with the new owner. Bummer!!

I am not very mechanically inclined, I am afraid I'd break something. V6 requires removing an air hose, a cover, and various other parts to access half the plugs. Also, it is all about time and weather here at home. It was raining that day.
