If it happens again, try turning the steering and see if it changes the pitch. I would go all the way to the stop. Press it against the stop for 1 or 2 seconds also. Not sure about our trucks, but did you know that holding a car against the stop actually isn't good for the power steering, the pump is still trying to force the steering to turn more even though it is against the stop.

hey guys couple of quick questions, i just got a '87 4x4 MT...pretty basic stuff...i've tried junk yards, marketplace and people i know that go hunting...i tried to look for savethewheels, i know he's on TW just hasn't been on in a while...anybody know where i can get ahold of some good wheels, i've seen some 4runner wheels from the 80's models and some early 2000's looking for something a little different that would look right...it has chrome small bullet holes on it but i think they are adding to bouncing i'm getting...a bed or some bucket seats would be cool, i know corolla seats will work even if i have to make them fit...also anyone know where i can get a tube bumper made for it? like back in the day tube bumper not a rock crawler tube bumper...just figured almost everyone knows somebody with a old school yota or somewhere that i can find some parts

    @JBTacoma

Power steering was below low on cold so I added some.

    Alternator tested fine.

I did not know that Brian thanks. It makes sense

So basically, if this was indeed the power steering pump, once the fluid heated up to operating temperature the noise stopped. This due to thermal expansion of the fluid raising it to proper levels.

    Thoughts?

I'm still curious as to why the noise didn't happen this morning.

Mine has did the same thing when it is low. Make noise at startup and gets quieter as it heats up.

Let me know once you get your springs. I'm in the market for new ones probably in the same weight category and would like to see how yours work out. How much lift did you get on them?

Note to all: My All Pro Expedition springs will be up for sale once I get some new ones. They have been great and still are performing well.

Will do! They will hopefully be here tomorrow.

They are rated at 2” of lift at full load of 1,000ish lbs. should be 3-3.5” unloaded.

We watched for the meteor shower near Brewton in South Alabama out in the country away from lights and also noted same results. In fact I counted three meteors for the whole thing also. Definitely did not live up to expectations.

My co-workers son is in the running to be Sprocket. He's been doing the mascot thing for a few years now and probably will get a free ride at (dare I say it) Auburn.

It sure was a bit boring. Gave me a chance to experiment with pictures though.

Next up we have the Geminids on December 13-14. There will be a full moon so those will probably be a bust.

Ursids are the 21st and 22nd of December. Moon is at 20% full so might catch some then.

Quadrantids are from December 27th thru Jan 10th. Half full moon though. They peak Jan 3-4

Then we have to wait until April for the Lyrids.

CBI is nice (I have one) but really heavy (especially with my swing out). Take a look at what Brian had made. Shipping probably half the cost of what he had made.

Met him down in Anniston when my son was boxing. His nephew was in a amateur bout at the same time. Nice guy.

I boxed when I was in the Army, but haven't followed boxing since UFC got big. Then got into grappling when I lived in California, to mix it up a little. Always been into some kind of martial arts since I was a kid, but boxing was my passion when I was in to it.

Would love to meet Deonte one day, he's a bad ass dude!
