That's better than I thought, I thought it was only 3 or 4 years. Odd you don't really see more of them around, I always look when I see them on the road and rarely see a v8 badged one. I guess most people at the time (especially more toward 2009) were looking for better MPGs even though the v6 wasn't much better.

And a lot of people that own(ed) them aren't the crazy weirdo types that rip out the suspension, smash in parts of the cab to fit bigger wheels, and replace their 5-15mph crash safe bumpers for big behemoths that say FUCK YOU

I dig my Tacoma, and it's the most fun I've had in awhile (and I've owned a ton of vehicles) but a lifted V8 4x4 4runner? It's like that hot girl next door with beer asking you to come over cause her parents are gone for the weekend; who's going to say no?! :anonymous:

Never heard or saw or knew anything about this with clam chowder, good to know cause I love clam chowder. Good stuff, not a huge fan of the cans but I'll definitely double check labels on any cans from now on

Just ask Jay about his current rust issues and we're there.

If you do check Campbell's ingredients it may say Conch because they import frozen Conch meat as Fresh ingredients in chowder.

If you google "Campbell's new England clam chowder label" no label with their ingredients will come up, only macro's; but progresso's has their ingredients list and macro's online.... hmmm

Paid $30 for 250 CT. sack Friday. Picked out the little neck and middle neck for Fettuccine Saturday night. Top neck, Cherry and Chowder went in chest freezer. Freezing in shell makes shucking really easy and saves the Clam juice while keeping Clam meat whole.

While that sounds good I'm really not a fan of seafood...I like (real) clam chowder, good fish 'n chips and some sushi but that's about it. Salmon is good too if I'm in the mood for it and it's quality fish

Worst fish and chips I ever had was actually in a small English village outside of London...figured it would be the best since it's England and all, but man it was nasty. Had tons of tiny rib bones in it that you had to pick out with every bite

Alum welding today with the advanced push pull Miller

It's like 80% setting the machine up right, frequency, hot start, cool down, pulse width, feedrate, and like 20% just running the gun like a sane person who's welded before. Also because of the crazy frequency and pulse width stuff it sounds like a French police siren.

damnit now I'm looking at winches to buy....as a general rule our trucks are good with a 9500lb winch right? That's about the lowest rated one we should get? I want to make sure it fits easily and I highly doubt I'll ever need a 12k winch. Debating between the 9500k ones and the 10k.

I remember reading Engo is a good underrated brand, also Superwinch which is apparently no longer around. Warn of course but $$$$$. Thought I remember seeing somewhere that Smittybilt is good but comes without proper grease inside, so you have to take them apart and add it for them to reliable.
Also probably looking to get something waterproof. Not sure if synthetic line is needed over steel though I know it's preferred by some

Go with synthetic, it's safer, it's lighter, and if you cover it and clean it every once in a while it lasts a long time

9500 is adequate yeah? If I recall we want a winch that is rated for at least 1.5x the weight of our trucks, or maybe it was 2x
