No more suffering in silence. It is time for Taco owners to unite and discuss what this truck is doing to us.

Anyone else dealing with a Taco shin?

    Any mods to prevent it?

I have a photo of a pretty bad case of Taco Shin, but not sure the world needs to see it to know what it is.

I have a bad case of lead foot. Is that related?

No, I think lead foot would reduce the incidence rate of Taco Shin.

Based on early voting, I see this is necessary:
    IMG_20191125_072843.jpg

Maybe it is the exact height of life I have, or who knows what, but for the last year my shin has looked like that from bashing it on the dash near the cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel trying to get into the truck.

I just installed some running boards. Mostly because I didn't want to ruin the bolster on my seats and also because its easier for the old lady to get in and out. Definitely helps. Want some rock rails when i can get a pair made local. Can't wait

Hell yes, I am not alone! I feel like we need a support group or something. Wow, feels so good to know there are others! I didn't see that thread in the search. Oh well, the more threads the better. Toyota needs to knwo this is a problem that must be solved if the Gen 4 is to be a sucess in the market.

Wait what. How tall are you? I’m 6ft and never had this happen. I do have running boards though. Maybe it’s time?

I walk with a cane and a limp and still have enough coordination to not bash my shins on the giant 20 foot 4000lbs hunk of metal in front of me.

I’m 6’4” barefoot and all legs. I also wear Dr. Martens with soles that add about an inch. My left shin does hit sometimes, but it has never caused me harm of any sort.

My right shin never hits because of an injury I sustained as a teenager. I broke my leg right near the ankle and the way it healed made my right foot sit at an angle. My right leg sits a bit lower when I’m driving because of the angle my foot is at when I’m working the pedals. Pretty convenient, actually!
