Does anyone know if the dual climate control option comes with heated seats too? There is nothing online other than dealership pictures with what looks like a left and right heated seat button. It’s all part of the premium audio and dynamic nav package. I hate moon roofs so looking at this for an alternative to the premium off road package.

It depends on the trim level and model year. For the 2020, the Sport trim has the TRD Premium Sport Package (Access and Double Cab) which includes both. The Off-Road trim has the
TRD Premium Off-Road Package (Access and Double Cab), which also includes both. Looks like the Sport, Off-Road, and TRD Pro are the only trims where that combination is possible. It looks like the only way to get those two options without a moon roof is to buy a Sport or Off-Road Access Cab with the Premium package.

 

I think they are talking about the partial Premium package that they just came out with in 2020 as opposed to the full Premium package you are talking about which has been on there the past couple years. There is a package that includes the premium audio and dual zone climate control but NOT the leather seats and moonroof, that they just introduced this year. But it doesn't specifically say if it has (or doesn't have) the heated seats. I'm going to guess no since the heated seats seem to be tied to the leather, but can't be 100% sure. Also, if it did have that, you think they'd list it in the features for that package since it would be a selling point.

 

If you look at the pamphlet in that link, that combo (without leather or moonroof) is only available on the Sport and Off-Road Access Cab with Premium Package.

 

It is a less-premium Premium package. It is a separate package from the full Premium package, but the Premium package is inclusive of it (it include those features, plus more). I'm looking at the packages available in the build tool and you can get either or.

 

Maybe their marketing team isn't all on the same page. I'd say ask the dealer lol

 

Yeah it is a bit confusing, but nice for the people who were probably complaining about wanting the nicer climate controls and radio, but didn't want the full leather or moonroof. So now there is a slightly less premium Premium package for those folks.

 

Dealer found out it does include heated cloth seats.

It’s been a frustrating road tryin to allocate a 2020 TRD OR DCSB in voodoo blue with technology and LED headlights only. It’s like all or none in Missouri. Started looking out in different regions and found several in the Pacific Northwest with tech, leds, and prem audio & nav. So I give up and will take the added premium audio if it gets the truck built. Made my first allocation on 9-5-19 and still no build date after dumping one dealer and trying another.

 

I made my first allocation a few days after that and got lucky when another dude forfeit his MT for an AT. Right time, right place.

 

Well the longer it takes the better m trade deal will be I guess if you figure the miles I’m putting on.

 

As long as you don't go past the offer date. I think my initial trade offer was good for 30 days. Does that sound accurate?

 

The dealer didn’t have an offer time limit.

 

The build you want is like what I have now (Trd 4x4 OR DCSB w/ premium audio &navigation (remote starter with 3 consecutive lock)+ tonneau cover+LED headlights +tech package). This was picked up several weeks ago after a long wait since early Sept for the dealer to allocate but couldn't build LED headlights + advanced tech alone, so I said yes to the added premium audio for the truck to be made from Baja Cali. I am beyond happy with my decision, though. Don't forget right now toyota gives $1k back for new tacomas other than the pro.

 

Yes, mine does come with heated cloth seats because of dual climate control included with premium audio package.

 

Hey can someone tell me if the 2020 pro comes with a lock for the tailgate?

 

I looked at one yesterday and Yes, it comes with a locking tailgate...but it's NOT powered. Hope that helps. From what I understand, a power tailgate lock is an add-on accessory.

 

That is correct, I had to add the power tailgate lock. I went with KTJO's powered tailgate lock and it's good to go!

 

Add-on is like $500 or something crazy.
