yeah even if the kit could cycle more travel that cv couldn’t pull any more than what an 8” CO on a 3.5” kit could pull

That is a friend of my friends truck.
I don’t know too much about it, but every time I’ve seen it, it’s been in rougher looking shape.
Idk if it’s been beat on, or just kinda neglected in the cosmetic/ maintenance department. That just my impression of it.

the stuff the guys done to it may be solid, but everything is just too messy for my tastes.

Mucho unless 4x4 adds enough weight - I had the usual 2nd gen spec coils when I had my BK +2 and had 3” easy without preload.

Probably 600 - do you have the coilovers now - the springs are marked with the spring rate, inner diameter, and length in white paint half way up the coils (and if you take them off the shock, the spring rate's labeled at the end of the spring on the flat cut end). Spring rate would be 600 or 650.

If anything 500-550 may be the perfect rate, just make sure not to scuff up the coils and you could probably swap them for free.

On the 1st gens you can (unless something changed in the last several years) pull an extra inch of travel with 10" shocks, that's not the case on the 2nd gens?.... The other main benefit would be the ability to run a dual rate coilover.

So I buckled my upper fender rail. I ordered hydro bumps to stop this from happening again but I’m not even running 35’s. What do you guys do? Tubb the upper rail? Cage the engine?

Honestly that’s nothing compared to what mine looked like. I ran my 35’s for 2yrs and just let them keep beating the fender well. I thought of it as a pre-bump stop. More recently I chopped the inner fender completely out and tubbed the firewall to clear 37’s
