Did you bed line your cap yourself? How is that holding up?

 

It's Line-x and it is holding up very well.

 

Do it yourself?

 

No. I went to a Line-x shop in Glen Burnie. I had though about doing it myself with bed liner but I like how consistent line-x goes on and in my past experience it is very durable.

 

All the shops around here have bad reviews...oh well.


And to put this thread back in its place.

Dual swingout looks sexy as hell. Only rear that comes close is @EatSleepTacos

 

Hello @Mobtown Offroad or @EatSleepTacos, or anyone else that can answer a question.
Looking to purchase the tranny and transfer case skids. Wondering if the Mobtown skids mate up with the TRD aluminum front skid? I already have Mobtown sliders and thought adding these would prevent me from breaking off my 4x4 actuator AGAIN!!!!

 

They do not. You will need the IFS skid to bolt up the tranny and transfer skids. The TRD skid will need to come off.

Hey guys Sunday I sent an email through your website and yesterday I sent one to Joe directly still waiting to hear back. Maybe you can answer here? I'm looking into a high clearance rear with the single swingout:

I am looking at a high clearance rear bumper for my 2016 Tacoma. I would be adding a single swingout. I have a few questions I was hoping you could answer for me.

How much is powder coating? I am located about 5 hours from you in NY, so I would be willing to come down and pick up the bumper up at your location. Since I would be there, could you also tell me how much installation is?

I know the unit weighs 170 pounds, but I've heard that the stock components that are removed, mainly the hitch, total roughly 70 pounds which would mean a net gain of an additional 100 pounds over the rear axle. Does that sound roughly correct to you? I ask because I would need heavier leaf springs, so I'd like to take advantage of some upcoming suspension sales and knowing how much added weight would be helpful.

The Baja Designs S2 cutout adds $400 to the bumper. Does that $400 include the lights too or just the cutout?

Thanks Randy. I'm not overly worried about the weight, but I know my Dakars wouldn't cut it and I'm tired of their squeaky asses anyway. Been hearing good things about Deavers.

I'd be so happy if the cutout price doesn't add $400

Once I get a quote on the powder coat and install I'll be ready to order
