Do these work on manual transmission trucks? My shifting is all over the place. Looking for a more consistent trans tune.

Of course it would, but finding the obd-ii port on the actual shifter for the manual and then plugging it in may be more than you're willing to do, or more than we want to talk about here.

We can make it work for ya! I’ve got an auto with your name on it for the small price of your manual lol! I bet we could do the swap in no time.

are these "stock" numbers for the 4.0L? mine seems to stay locked down to ~1100 with >0 throttle position, and I have the same nagging vibration that @Lthompson was referring to.

Those numbers are Driveshaft output numbers not to be confused with engine rpms. So in 5th gear of a 0.72 ratio you are looking at ~ 1000 engine rpms with a driveshaft rpm of 1400 when the trans will unlock the torque converter at essentially no throttle input. The numbers pictured are stock

Its an interesting way to go about thinking at first, but it makes sense as its the one constant as engine rpms change, rear gear options can change etc. But driveshaft output stays the same and only changes in 4low.

As someone who has delved into the auto trans tuning quite a bit (if you go back to the top of this page, post #4861, you can grab my latest "v12" auto trans tuning excel doc and have a look at everything). Feel free to ask any and all questions!

Thanks, still on the fence for this. Want it, but not sure if I Need it. what kind of MPG gains did you get? (may have been mentioned already, i'm only up to pg 88).

Nominal MPG gains haven't been crazy maybe .5-.75 mpg. But where the MPG gains really show is under load (loaded up / towing / going up and down grades / driving into the wind at decent speeds) where your foot is into the throttle more. On my trucks current tune i average -11% fuel across the board under component protection, -15% in the 2800-4800rpm 50-70% load range which is the bulk of loaded driving in my truck. Because of this mpgs arent hit nearly as bad as before (which is a good chunk of my long distance driving)

The biggest thing by FAR has been driveability. The truck is SOOOO much more of a pleasure to drive, its more peppy, shifts where I want and behaves how it should.

Finally got a hold of them on the phone. Long story short, their engineers are working on it, and its nothing on my end. Sounds like they don't have the calibration for my truck, from what they said. Hopefully will have a fix to it soon. It suuuuucks waiting.

Most of my commute is 75mph and some smaller hills. I lost about .5 mpg unfortunately. Driveability is much better though so I dont intend on reversing it just for better mpg.

To those of you N/A guys who haven’t seen any economy improvement or even lost economy, please send me a PM so I can address your situation individually. All N/A folks should see some improvement and at worst, no change.

No sir. Been getting all my ducks in a row first. Got my vacuum and coolant leaks sorted out. Exhaust opened up even more. Pulley's on the way. Just need the tuner.
