So you saying it's a good thing to rob from the Germans?

 

I guess...I mean they did steal and hoard/destroy an immeasurable amount of art across Europe during WWII, much of which was never recovered. There are people even still today that make careers out of tracking it down.

 

I hear they are always looking for top notch hires...

 

Good work deserves admiration, even if it isn't doing good.

 

To be fair you could call it "saving" look at what the Nazis did to London.

 

I think being a WWII Nazi hunter would be more fulfilling, though I doubt very many are still left from then

Technically, that was the Nazis. The majority of the German people were not like that, especially today.

I know, I have a great deal of German in me after all lol. From both sides of my family. Just thought it was funny in an ironic way that the 2nd biggest heist since WWII happened to a German museum

 

They launched rockets at London pretty much leveled a good chunk of the city

 

Oh, I agree. Art/jewel heist like that were no one gets hurt is actually pretty cool. Give it a few years, I bet there'll be a movie about it.

That's the 2nd thing I said to my wife haha. She studied art theft as part of her history degree in college so she got me into this stuff. It's a really interesting subject when you look at how much of it still goes on today, and how seriously the government takes it considering how victimless it is compared to other criminal acts.

But as with most things, it's about the money first and foremost. And there's a fuckton of money in the art/museum world

In other news, I'm going to be selling my Budbilt IFS and transmission skids here in a couple weeks if any of you CA guys are interested. Also my Skidrow tcase skid most likely. Not sure yet if I'll do the All Pro IFS only and keep the tcase skid or put the AP trans skid on with the IFS skid.

Not going to make a FS thread until I have them off but if anyone wants dibs let me know
