Commercial kitchen hoods, pressure vessels, food processing equipment are fabbed and stainless steel everyday, but people seem to think Elon has stumbled on some miracle material. Stainless has limitations.

Break the stamping equipment? Please, the stainless sheet will likely crack if they were trying to stamp complex shapes.

I bet under the skin there's nothing new, it's likely a body sitting on a S chassis. The tests during this launch were designed to get people that know nothing about cars excited. Which is why we didn't see it doing truck things like skying out over Pismo dunes.
