LED headlight sidemarkers

DD recommends that you don't run the ambers on the switchback boards full time. They do, though, sell 3" straight-amber boards w/ different drivers than the switchbacks, that can be run all the time.

Definitely correct when we released these, but after programming changes made last year, you can run them full time with no problems. We also have amber-only boards available now too.

 

MESO mod number 2 on its way! Just picked up some stage 1 ambers.

 

That's the plan! Sadly, like everyone else, I'm at the mercy of further product release.

That a Q45 retrofit?

 

not sure what that is? These are rx350 and I painted the internal red for the passive red look in the bulb. I also took apart the profile high beams and did a “blm” on that as well so it was dark like everything else. The silver and reflective high beams just looked funny in a blackout headlight to me. These have the “angry eyes” but i tinted than painted the halo so it was dark also

 

I'd imagine he's talking about the replacement lights you've got where your high beam bucket used to be

 

Yeah the inside bulb appears to be a Q45 projector which was something I was looking to potentially do on my Supra the look of the projector is definitely stands out.

 

I have a few stage 1's left in stock, and they are marked down 25% for my black Friday deals!

Ordered some retroreflective tape, at least I'll have peace of mind not losing all reflective capabilities. Now to figure out just what shape to make it to slap onto the side markers. TRD lettering cutout, maybe?

Purchased stage II's... time to crack open some headlights. Well, eventually... it's pretty low on my mod list.

 

I gotta stay away. Earlier today I ordered the vent ring kit and headlight trim plate. Had a set in my cart of the Stage 2's but said, "No, you don't need them". Started browsing this thread and decided, yes. Yes, I do need them. But went with the stage 1's since I'm doing a front facing turn signal switchback.

 

Anyone know if it is street legal to run white LED side markers in CA? I thought they had to be amber?
