    the 3rd gen taco radios are much larger than the double din or the 200mm din that toyota uses in my tundra.

    the radio can easily be made to work functionality wise. but fitting it would be difficult. you can fit a toyota 86 radio with some trimming.. just look up the scion radio upgrade for the tacomas. (its old. but its that size radio) you can get the harness to adapt the old system to the new radio directly from toyota

    I did this a while ago, cut spare neoprene wetsuit scraps into circles to fit into the cup holders to make metal mugs quiet off road.

    You have header yet on the 3.4?

    I’m looking at probably getting Doug thorley headers. Just trying to figure out how hard the install will be and if it will be a direct bolt in for 5 speed.

    I don't. have done headers on a 2nd gen...super PITA..

    Shouldn't have any issues with it going in though. Won't be super fun as it's tight. You don't have headers? Shit man, you'll do good to open that thing up on the exhaust side with all the air your ramming in it.

    Would do headers and 2.5'' pipe out the whole way back. If you need to keep the cat then just do it post cat. 3'' tip, will sound great.

    Holy crap you're on stock exhaust manifolds? You would probably free up at least 20 hp with free flowing exhaust. Night and day difference with the SC.

    Thorleys aren’t too bad. I did have to cut and weld the front cat to fit them. But all in all it was 5-6 hrs and it’s been trouble free.

    Yea, probably so, have to figure this out for the install or get them installed somehow by someone.
    20 more hp would be very sweet plus the 270 now at the rear on the dyno
    adding to 290 would make me REALLY happy.

    I guess Black Friday is calling me :)

    If you dig up the instructions on thorleys website I think they mention it. Does your cat have 2 pipes going in or 1?

    Personally I’d be upping the exhaust size to 2.5” if I were you. You’re pushing some air.
