    So you're 50?

    Mid life crisis?
It's a real thing, you know.
Just when I think I'm over mine, it comes back...like a recurrent rash.

I want to be with my best friend/lover for the rest of my life, so does she. But she consistently blames me for everything, never really looks at herself, So set in her ways... She has been there for me in some difficult times, and says that Im not there for her. Im doing the best I can. Gosh its so much to explain.
Im questioning my love for her, because she gets on my dam nerves, makes me not want to be around her. Im always walking on eggshells wondering what state of mind is she in today? Me.. im cool, calm and collective. “Avoid shit” is my middle name, because prior to this relationship, I basically had women who had no money and completely reliant on me to support them. She isnt like that, but soooo needy emotionally..

    Very true!!

    Hey yourself! :)
Work is crazy. Everyone who met their ins deductibles are clamoring to get in for their elective surgeries. To top it off, we're expecting a bunch of snow here starting tomorrow so we'll add broken hips, wrists and ankles from slips and falls to the list for the weekend.

We're not looking for a wheeling trip, this is more of a scouting trip. Gonna stay on pavement.

Man, I can relate to that.
I'm a "don't step in the shit" guy myself.
    Wanna fight? What for?

That's a tough one...having to be so careful about setting her off.
And feeling she doesn't appreciate you.

That's abuse and you shouldnt tolerate it. You should never have to walk on eggshells in your own home in fear that you are going to upset your partner. That type of lifestyle isnt sustainable. I recommend counseling. An outside perspective might help her realize what she is doing to you.

Her part- It’s hard to be with someone who is always looking at the other person and so focused on what they are or aren’t doing. By nature, most people don’t look at themselves. You can only control what you do and what your reactions are to what other people do. If she can’t look within herself and isn’t willing to work on that then the rest of your story is irrelevant. If she can’t/won’t work on that you have a decision to make. Can you live with how things are right now?
Your part- Avoidance destroys relationships. You are both adults. You should be able to sit down and express what your needs are. The other person really needs to hear AND understand what is being said.
Get 4 pieces of paper. Write on the top of each one
1- What you want more of
2- What you want less of
3- What you want done differently
    4- What you want stopped
Each write your answers. Then talk about them. Everything starts and can end cuz of communication.

Your avoidance could be contributing to her neediness
Her neediness could be contributing to your avoidance

You guys really need to communicate!!!
