It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
No. Well... To the in-law's. But they are in Martinsburg. My father-in-law is rather mobility-limited, so all holidays have to be at his house.

Sorry about your FIL's issues...I remember you mentioning that. But, going somewhere else as opposed to having to host can be a relief. Unless it's like my in-laws, where I am put to work immediately upon arrival!

So theoretically a hybrid bumper could have SAE/DOT approved fogs wired with oem wire/switch and then say some BD Squadrons with covers and wired to a rocker switch (aka have to turn it on separate from oem light controls), that should pass allegedly...at least per the law and the letter posted by Bill.

Just be glad (and perhaps sad) that you are leaving this Commonwealth in a few months...Congrats on orders back to your home!

    When a lawyer is confused.....

I say run whatever until you get pulled over, then ask the LEO to explain it. If he flounders, you're golden.

You want a Slimline? I've got enough credit to buy one with their 20% discount right now. You could just pay me cash once it shows up in 12-14 weeks.

Plus those double sliding side doors need major cart and adjacent car door protection!!!

So overlander mobtown would seemingly fill that roll, plus something something black friday/initial order discount or so I might have read.

I am always confused, so that doesn't mean anything haha.

That is my approach, but not my advice, if you catch my drift. If you're not being a dick and aren't suspected of doing anything else illegal, the chances are you won't get pulled over for such a violation. Could you? Absolutely, but it's unlikely. When you do get pulled over, treat the officer with the respect they deserve and you're likely to drive off with a warning or a "fix it" ticket.

    ^^ This.

Yeah. There are some cops who thrive on chickenshit tickets. I know a VSP Motor Officer that writes a lot of tickets to bikes with non DOT license plate lights. Which is about the most insignificant equipment violation possible.

If you meet one, oh well. Pay your tax and move on.

Gonna try and stay off the soapbox... When I was a part of that brotherhood, demeanor played a HUGE part in whether or not a ticket would be written. I hated doing traffic. So if you got a ticket with my name at the bottom, you truly screwed up. When I left, I turned in my ticket book that was three years old (only 50 in a book). Overall I think traffic citations are dumb and do very little to correct the behavior. It's self-generating revenue, nothing more. Anyway...

Are there jackasses out there searching for anything and everything to write a ticket for? Absolutely. I worked with quite a few of them. And I'd wager they're becoming more prevalent. With that said, if you're going to flaunt the law be prepared to pay the price. Be respectful, and if you feel that strongly that you're in the right, go to court. Ignorance of the law is not a defense. It seems insignificant, but I always recommend that if you're able to go, go. Sometimes just the act of showing for the court case gives the judge reason to be lenient. Sometimes something happens and the officer doesn't show (small chance, but still).

Not sure which one played the biggest part but prefer to not be a dick until i have To and then I’m also showing in court.

Since we've been on the topic of inspections :D I'm not 100% sure that'll pass. There was/is something in the inspector's book about the tailpipe exiting from under the vehicle. I don't remember how it was written, just that it was a thing. If you find out differently, I'm chopping my shiz off immediately!
