Just had a decent 7 or 8 walk through. Down to 1 buck tag though, so had to let him go to wait on the big boy. Watched him make a scrape in a pine thicket. He didn’t care about my grunts or rattle. Just made his scrape and walked off.

so... is there really this many places to measure? i always thought it was just inside spread, main beams, each point length and then circumference at the bases (and i found out 7 or 8 years ago you measure circumference infront of each point also... up to a g7 or something)... is tip to tip spread really a thing? like i feel like alot of deer are getting nearly double inches just because of that?

The guy that hunts the property next to us sent this to me after I shot mine Sunday night. It was on the 13th and he seems to be chasing a doe so maybe he spread some more good genes around before he expired

I don't think tip to tip and greatest spread actually count in the score. Also, I think there are only 4 circumference measurements per side, I think.

yeah thats more what i was thinking... im just going of my pic and i low balled my numbers and figured it relatively symmetrical
    G1 5" (x2)
    G2 8" (x2)
    G3 8" (x2)
MB 20" (x2) i feel this is being my most low balled number
    IS 18"
    Circ 3" (x2)
    2.5" (x2)
    2" (x2)
    1.5" (x2)

so that got me to 102 and like i said i feel like i left a good bit on the table, so i would hope that it aint missing 120" by much

all estimates made by measure how long my bird finger is up to my index knuckle (6") so i found the rough length of the left g3 to be ~8" and eyeballed the rest

    Could it be a 7400?

I have the one before it in 30-06, the Sportsman 74 Auto. Also have the box, my first rifle at age 16.

The 742 was a Woodmaster wasn’t it? What was the pump?
