When I bought my 2019 OR, the dealer threw in ZAKTEK for free. It's been a little over six months since I bought the truck, and just received an email from my dealer saying that's it time to reapply ZAKTEK.

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with this product? I wouldn't normally pay for it, but like I said it was thrown in for free.

It's hard to argue with free but then again I wouldn't pay a dime for any add on from a dealership. Pretty much any add on they provide benefits them more than it does the consumer. I'd almost pay extra from them NOT to handle my truck when it came to the exterior.

Six months sounds like a typical paint sealant or lite ceramic type product. But even if they used one of the best sealants or coatings that existed, it's still the dealership that is applying it. They generally can't even wash cars without doing damage.

"Time to reapply." Let me guess, it's not free this time? Sounds like typical dealer junk to me.

No, still free for every 5,000 miles up to 30,000.

Well, that's a plus. But expect to be peppered with suggestions for "optional / recommended services." Getting you back in the door is what they really want to do.
