My old boss has had his restaurant In the same place for the last 22 years. So he has been doing something right

And you should be able to hire staff that makes it so you dont have to be there 24/7. If thats what you have to do, youre doing it wrong haha.

Pick two.

If thats all you want to spend, Id get a hardtail. Theyre about mid level around $1k-$1500. I ride a Kona, their cheapest FS bike is $2600.

 

Theyve got a small army at all the ones near me. Heck, the one in Monroe LA had a drive through tunnel set up with fans for the workers haha.

 

My point was that in the contract to have a Chicfila franchise you must be there everyday it is open

 

Being gauranteed one day off a week is more then most restaurant owners get haha.

 

Exactly why I wouldn't care to own one, too much damn stress for meh money. Even the right people to run it in your stead cant do it all

 

So no dimondback or jamis?

 

It takes time. Last I heard, my former bosses were at the "sit at home and watch your bank account go up" stage of ownership. At least one of them was there everyday for 2 years until they promoted some good managers to take over a lot of their duties.

I have mixed feelings about diamondback. You dont see dealers of them anywhere, and there have been stories of their frames cracking.

A Jamis dakar would be ok probably. But stay away from SR Suntour suspension forks/shocks. Unrebuildable/unserviceable garbage usually. Get a rockshox air fork at a minimum.

 

Fast food vs. real sit down establishment. I would never do fast food. A real sit down restaurant is was what I was refering to with my first post.
