Do you have a blue LED/button mounted to the dash near your left knee... around the TPMS reset button and the hood release lever? If so, it sounds like you have the aftermarket KARR alarm system installed. I've searched high & low and can't find out much about it. What I have been able to do is put it in valet mode. Now the blue LED stays lit all the time but I don't have the honk anytime I hit the key fob. Here's what you do... if you have the KARR alarm system.

Key in ignition: Key "ON" press & hold button 4-5 seconds then turn off ignition. Blue LED should be lit continuously & your horn should be silent.

    Hope this does the trick...

Mine is stock 2010. Its beeps (not honks) once when locking and twice when opening. I wanted it to be disabled if possible. I do not want to announce when I open or close my vehicle. Stealth is my thing.

Do you have the factory alarm?

Because the stock trucks do not beep at all.

My 2010 beeps when locking and unlocking the doors. It does not have the factory alarm system, just the keyless entry.

Lol! Thanks guys. I will try that this week. I just hope I don't mess up anything.

the beeper is mounted to the rad support near the drivers side headlight. just pop the hood and keep unlocking the doors till you find it, then unplug it. thats what i did. not sure about the horn honking though.

Do you have a picture of this beeper? Got me curious now.... how (or if) I could get a OEM beeper and see if its able to connect to ...something on my truck (laugh).

But damn, that still doesn't solve my time issues.

Wonder if I should pay a visit to the toyota dealer and pop the hood and look at one? hmmm....I'd rather have OEM than an aftermarket thing.

Start w/ LED light switch in the off position and turn the key on then off.

Within 10 seconds cycle the LED light switch on and off three times (press and release switch six times).

You have now either turned the honks/chirps on/off. 1 chirp indicates that you have turned them on. Two and you have turned them off.
