Well my neighbor is holding on to it, but I'll have to grab it and put it in semi-long storage in case I need to reattach with a sleeve...especially since i'm not due for inspection until upcoming May.

Here's what I saw about exhaust to rear or sides:
    (from link above)
    5. The exhaust system fails to discharge the exhaust to the rear or sides of the passenger and trunk compartment of passenger vehicles unless such design is consistent with the original vehicle manufacturer exhaust system.

    6. The exhaust system fails to discharge the exhaust to the rear or sides of the passenger compartment that is designed for and normally used for the driver and passengers of a property-carrying vehicle.

Curiosity got the better of me. And I'm bored with work already. Here's what I see:

Then at the bottom there's this:

NOTE: Exhaust pipes must extend behind the cab or rear axle of pickup trucks or utility trucks.

So I would wager you're okay. Good-bye tailpipe on my poor ol' truck!

    Edit: Jinx!

Seems like we have about the same work attention span on this short holiday week (though I am busting out ISO work ahead of TAT deadline and/or wife goes into labor)!

Yeah I wanted to have a bit of the candy cane present, but not too much...

EDIT: What's with your editing to add jinx!?!?!
...now I'm "submitting for the record" this rear axle clearance angle for reassurance.

The bracket by the OEM spare tire side took a bit more time/effort to get off, but we cut it back and grinded it down near flush with the frame there.

Good morning everyone, made it to my folks house yesterday after a long drive on 95N(fml) I can't believe that's the main N/S for the east coast and it's in such bad shape and only 6 lanes.

    FACT!
When I moved here from CT I had my blue lights in the front grill of the car and got a stern warning/ reminder that once my plates changed to VA they better be disconnected.
(CT Fire/EMS responders get Blue except for the Engine/Truck, 5.0 get Red)

I hate when they don't have the courtesy to stay! The one i hit last year was barely phased and took off

Picked up a nail somewhere in NY, luckily had slime and mini pump to finish the drive.
And FYI most chain tire shops don't want to plug a tire. They all tried telling me I need 4 new tires.

Why pass up a sales opportunity...but they really failed because we all know they know everyone needs 5 new tires in those instances!
